This depends on what the circumstances are. Were the guy ad girl ever together? Or are we talking just meeting someone and being friends with them?? I guess either way ot could work out as long as both people have the same intentions and no one wants more then the friendship...otherwise there can be problems.

Based solely on personal experience, I would have to say "yes".
I have shared a wonderful relationship with a man, as friends for many years. There is no sex involved, never has been and never will be, we are both in very stable relationships, but even when we weren't sex was never a question. He is one of my best friends, and I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Of course, working relationships are platonic. I have no problem being friends with men, I never have in my life. It's easier to be friends with guys than woman anyways. At least for me it is...

No. I think men and women can be platonic acquaintances but with friendship theres always going to be that question in the back of your mind whether they look at you like that, or whether certain things were innocent.

Yes as long as you haven't been involved before. Once you cross that line with someone there is no going back to the friends stage because there is a level of trust lost

Yes, if they limit the amount of time and the commitment they have to each other. However, if they spend a lot of time with each other and bond, when one or the other starts a relationship, there will be problems.
