im in my first year of college, partied a lot in high school and now i drink always on the weekends and occasionally during the week... On the weekend i definitely like to drink a lot. I drive drunk occasionally (i'm pretty good, but it's not like that'll change your opinion), or with other driver thats drunk.

but, i get great grades, feel like i have my **** together. what do you think?

Don't f*** around with this. Becoming seriously dependent on alcohol or drugs will make your life a living hell. Get a handle on it now. If you become addicted to alcohol you're going to find yourself drinking everyday.

You may not be an alcoholic, but it's not too bright to drink that much and drive. Consider the persons riding with you, or people you meet in oncoming traffic. They make the rules for a reason.
Regarding alcoholism - the younger a person starts drinking, the more likely he is to become addicted.
You drink to get high, and then after awhile you drink to get back up to normal and maybe a little high, and then have to have it just to get by. By then it's taking too much of your time and money and hurting you with your friends and responsibilities, but you have to have it. That's the sad part. The good grades won't help much if you're in a coma or wheel chair. I think you probably have more on the ball than to keep on wasting yourself on booze. Stay sober so you can REMEMBER all the fun you had!
