I just bought a 2006 Altima 2.5S and I want to put wheels in place of the hubcaps that came with the car. I don't want to buy new tires, so I know that they have to be 16 inches, but what about the offset? bolt pattern? etc? Thanks for your help!

My question said without replacing the tires. It clearly stated that I need to know the about the 16" wheels. I didn't want to know about how to ask my dealer or use this and that website, I've already looked everywhere, thus the reason for posting a question on here.

I guess most people are just saying that you should sell your set of 16's and really upgrade to 17 or 18 inch tire/rims. However, you can easily buy a set of 5 bolt 16" rims 7.5 wide to match your tires if that is your final decision. You may even decide to buy 16" Nissan alloy rims that came standard on many Maxima's and Altima's. These can be easily found on ebay, I know I've sold a set of 16's and 17's off Maxima's there. It's up to you to choose between aluminum, chrome or painted wheels.

You can fit 16" wheels that is 5x114.3 bolt pattern with offsets ranging from 35mm to 45mm. If you purchase wheels that have lower that 35mm, you will run into problems with tires sticking out of your fender. If you purchase wheels with more that 45mm offset, you will have problems with suspension rub with it being tucked in too far.
As far as sizes of wheels/tires go, you can fit up to 20" wheels with 5x114.3 bolt pattern with 35-45mm offset and a maximum wheel width of 8.5 inches. Remember though, not all brands of wheels have the same measurement practices. A 35mm on Wheel A could be an equivalent of 32mm of Wheel B, this all depends on the backspacing (this also varies from one manufacturer to the other). If you purchase wheels, always go with experienced wheel shops. Also keep in mind that when upgrading, your wheel/tire combination MUST match close to the stock wheel/tire diameter so it will not throw off your speedometer. Investing in larger wheel/tire package, you should also consider upgrading your braking system (pads/rotors) to handle the extra weight during stopping.

I use a full for the one in the rec room which turns into a bed and the spare room has a queen size Futon on a normal bed frame. I had a heck of a time finding the queen size so I bet you have a Full (~55" across x 75" long x 6" thick). The queen that I have is 60x 8 0" x 8" Hope that helps.

Anything above 18 will be problems. They can tuck 20's under it but you will probably need a little more work done on the suspension.
