No - not really.
It is your bodies natural response.
You can practice giving speeches and things like that so you do not get so nervous in those situations. Some people can learn to control their heartrate etc, with bio feedback and meditaion but it take lots of practice.
Overall - do not worry about it - it is a natural response

take a public speaking class. I had a similar problem and got over it through this class. It forces you to get in front of an audience and it really builds your confidence. When you gain confidence you find that you don't get embarrassed as often!
