For the past couple of weeks Ive been having major signs of pregnancy. Last week I had my period (or I think it was), so I concluded that I was not pregnant. However, I only bled reguarly for 2 days then it just went OFF!!! Then I just spotted for a few more days. This is completely not normal for me b/c my periods are seven days with heavy bleeding for about five days (it has been this way for since I first got my period, never changed). Even after my period (or whatever it was) the signs seemed to get stronger. Such as very frequent trips to the restroom, sore nipples, tingling breasts, enlarged breasts (everybody says they're getting bigger, my breasts have been the same size for years so this is wierd) extreme moodiness (nobody even wants to be around me), increase hunger but I get full and extremely bloated after a couple bites, and lower back aches. I even have an increase of clear cervical mucus (im not ovulating). I took 2 off brand PT's but they were negative. I am so confused

Periods are a tell tale sign of being pregnant, however some women have their periods throughout the entire pregnancy. Unless your diet has change immensley, it sounds like you might have what they call false pregnancy, u need to see a doctor to be sure.

Heres some info.

The symptoms of pseudocyesis are similar to the symptoms of true pregnancy and are often hard to distinguish from such natural signs as amenorrhoea, morning sickness, tender breasts, and weight gain may all be present. Many health care professionals can be deceived by the symptoms associated with pseudocyesis. Research shows that 18% of women with pseudocyesis were at one time diagnosed as pregnant by medical professionals.

The hallmark sign of pseudocyesis that is common to all cases is that the affected patient is convinced that she is pregnant. Abdominal distension is the most common physical symptom of pseudocyesis (60– 90%). The abdomen expands in the same manner as it does during pregnancy, so that the affected woman looks pregnant. This phenomenon is thought to be caused by buildup of gas, fat, feces, or urine. These symptoms often resolve under general anesthesia and the woman's abdomen returns to its normal size.

The second most common physical sign of pseudocyesis is menstrual irregularity (50–90%). Women are also reported to experience the sensation of fetal movements known as quickening (medical), even though there is no fetus present (50%-75%).Other common signs and symptoms include: gastrointestinal symptoms, breast changes or secretions, labor pains, uterine enlargement, and softening of the cervix. One percent of women eventually experience false labour.

Causes
There are various explanations, none of which are universally accepted. Psychodynamic theories attribute the false pregnancy to emotional conflict. It is thought that an intense desire to become pregnant, or an intense fear of becoming pregnant, can create internal conflicts and changes in the endocrine system, which may explain some of the symptoms of pseudocyesis. Another theory concerns wish-fulfillment. It holds that if a women desires pregnancy badly enough she may interpret minor changes in her body as signs of pregnancy.

Well sounds like pregnancy to me! This happened to me with my last son. I and I took many pregnancy tests then finally one day it was positive. I had my period the same as you for 3 months but did not think I was pregnant when infact I was. It also could be your nerves now because you are so worried about it. So just let it go for a while don't think of pregancy and see if your hormones are just outta wack. Whatever the deal is I wish you luck.

The symptoms you have mentioned cant occur just after 15 days of pregnancy. The best method to check is Urine PT,which was negative in your case. Spotting can be due to some other reasons. Kindly have a thorough check with the Gynac, to rule out anything else is seriously wrong like fibroids and cysts.

After the baby is born have the paternity test regardless. If the baby is yours then it's yours. Now that was simple. BUT, if the baby isn't yours then two things can happen, you can accept the child or reject the child. Either way the baby deserves to have a medical history of his biological father and that side of the family. Adopted children are sometimes scoffed at but they are chosen, sometimes fought for and always wanted. That is more than some natural children can say. So what ever you do, what ever you decide, get the kid a medical history of his biological father no matter who that might be.

The PT's don't always pick up the horomones until you are six or seven weeks along (trust me-I've had four kids), so you might need to confirm with a blood test. Also, while it sucks to wait, the PT's are most accurate if you use your first morning urine, bcuz the horomones are strongest at that time. Stress, or other illnesses can mess with your system, too, so your best bet is to get in to see your doctor ASAP

There is always the posibility of a false pregnancy. You really ought to go see you physician to make sure there isn't something else going on. In a false pregnancy you will show all the signs to include weight gain, yet still come up neg on a home test.

It is very common to still have a period and be pregnant. Something is definately going on. You need to see a doctor to be sure what. Two negitive tests point to not being pregnant. But you should be checked as soon as possible.
