im looking for a classic car from the 70's and 80's but im a girl so i don't know crap about cars. does anyone know a reliable car from the old times that's strong enough to go through a route 66 road trip? the car has to to be suitable for a girl.

Get like a convertible mustang. Thats really nice, very classic and a convertible is an awesome road trip car as long as you don't have so much luggage that it takes up the backseat.

Buicks are highly reliable from the 70s/80s. My sister used to drive one.

70s cars are huge boats though so if you aren't used to driving something the size of the largest Caddy it's going to be difficult. 80s cars tend to be small and cute. Vastly different.

Why does it have to be a 70s /80s car? That is very very difficult and extremely expensive to find someone to rent those from. I wish you lots of luck though.
