Do you have more tomatoes to add? If not, try tomato paste, or add water and then let it cook back down to the desired thickness.

If still too spicy, serve you dish with bread, as that helps reduce the "heat" on your tongue if you eat it between bites.

Anything acidic will neutralize the heat (vinegar, lemon/lime juice)

lime leaves a really nice ineresting flavour for chilis and mexican food....if it's an italian style sauce the juice in the olive jar would add a nice taste or a good vinigar (balsamic, red wine vinegar) anything like that will work nicely, a tablespoon or 2 should do it.

You can try adding tomato chunks that are unseasoned or more unseasoned sauce to dilute it. If you haven't put the meat in yet (if your using any) then try adding in unseasoned meat. Also, you can set some sauce aside and see if adding sugar (just a pinch) helps. If not, milk cuts down on the burn if you drink it with the meal. Also bread. Good luck!

Just add some water, tomato sauce if left behind and don´t forget a bit of sugar. That will do it.

You can try adding more sauce (tomato paste or whatever your base is) to dilute it. Or make a separate pot w/o the chilis and mix. You can freeze any extras for another time.

You can decrease the spiciness by adding sweetner (or sugar if you like the real stuff!!!). You can also make it a rose (pink) sauce by adding cream which will tone down the heat as well.

Add some tomato soup or another can of tomato sauce. If you dont have that pour yourself a glass of milk because you will need it to cool your tongue off.

Any kind of protein will off-set chile peppers. People who eat hot chile regularly will eat it with eggs, sour cream, cream, cheese, and even drink beer or milk to "cool it down," because the protein in all these substances do help!

Sugar only works to off-set too much salt. So, add something with protein in it. This WILL help, and you may invent a new dish :^)

Simply, you're having spicy sauce tonite, there is nothing you can "ADD" to reduce the spiciness unless you want 10 gallons of the same stuff. The capsaicin is already in there, (Scoville Rating)
