Favorite awesome device is my Phillips Pronto Pro (full color touch screen home theater remote control).
If you choose - can simply use it as designed – right out of box and just teach it the infrared codes from original remotes, also possible to pay for professional programming. Doubt anyone would spend the money and not customize this remote.
OR connect it to your computer and customize every screen yourself - even to control your lighting, Heat / Air Conditioning, and ceiling fans.

LOL...you've got to be kidding me!
if you don't know 'tech stuff' or what's 'really cool' and 'awesome' I doubt you'd benefit from actually owning something.
BTW, having 'cool' stuff doesn't confer popularity on you...be yourself and develop an interesting personality...being 'cool' comes from within. If you're cool with who you are, then others will be too.
