They also love the fact that I have black hair and bright blue eyes. Why??

Arik, it's a cool and unique way of spelling an ordinary name and it makes you stand out a little bit. And as for your looks, you do sound attractive. The mix of black hair and blue eyes is just like the spelling of your name- unique. Enjoy standing out above the crowd!

Aric is an unusual spelling - usually it's Eric, or even Erik or Erick. Aric is a little different and interesting, so that's why they dig it.

its diffrent then the normal way of spelling something, and sounds kindof exotic and foreign
