I started at my current job as a contractor (and still am a contractor) in Sept of last year...then a month or so later, another girl started here as a contractor. I am very upset because now she is permanent and I'm still a contractor (I found out by another source and apparelty- coming from her she pushed it due to another job offer she got.)
I have been here longer than she has and I work alot harder than she does (I KNOW I DO! ) and Im still a contractor while she is permanent. I dont think that is right...
I dont care if she pushed it or not- the fact is that my manager allowed her to become perm. before me. My boss HAS offered me a permanent position two weeks ago- but I still dont like the fact that the other girl got perm. before I did.
I dont know what to think now. I am now having him escalating me to become perm. since apparelty it worked for the other girl.
What should I do about this? I really dont think this is right.

It is the big world of Corp. ... those that kiss it go higher... doesn't have to be right, doesn't have to be fair... it just happens that way... try not to hold a grudge and do the best you can... be noticed for the quality of your work...

Seems to me that the permanent position needed to be filled and you declined earlier.

Do you like your job?
If yes then accept his offer to become permanent.
Don't harbor any grudges against him or her.
