Neteller will not process my EFT withdrawals. They have been pending for 2 weeks. Does anyone know a nongaming merchant or a way for me to get my funds back?

Thanks in advance.

I actually requested the withdrawals the day before all the news came out. A day later my gaming site posted that neteller would no longer accept transfers to or from gaming sites. Neteller at first said that withdrawals would not be effected, then posted a 2 week delay, and recently posted that it is now an open-ended timeframe.

I have also submitted a query to fulltiltpoker, I don't know what they would be able to do though.

I have been on the phone with Neteller everyday for the past 3 days. They are useless. They are no longer issuing ATM cards to US customers so this option is out.

I am pursuing trying to get an overseas relative to setup an account to transfer the funds to them.

Thanks for your input though. Two questions:

1. Is it legal for them to lock my funds like this? I guess I have no recourse regardless.

2. Do you know of any nongaming merchants I could use as an intermediary. Paypal does not work with them, does epassporte or another payment processor that you know of. Their support will not provide me with a list of merchants, and I have not been able to find a suitable merchant through online searching.

Much thanks,
gkalro

FYI, on Feb 1st they removed the ability for US members to do Peer / Peer transfers. So now my money is truly unaccessible until they resolve their problems.

GREAT!

First, as a general idea when dealing with these sites: get them on the phone. You can wait days and weeks for an online query to get answered.

Neteller has recently lost much of its EFT, ATM, and check capacities. For example, checks issued by Neteller aren't being honored in the United States. They say that EFT's should be sent in 4-6 weeks, but who knows when it'll be operational.

Your best option, if you have it, is to transfer your money to a friend who has a Neteller account and lives in Canada/UK/elsewhere. They are still able to withdraw to their banks and to gaming sites. Then have the friend send you the money some other way (write a check, transfer $ to an online gaming site that you can still withdraw from, etc.). I think it costs like 2% but it's probably worth it. You have to cancel your pending EFT via phone first. I know many poker players who have done this.

I think they still have some ATM capacity, so call customer service and see if you can get an ATM card. There's a fee involved, but again it's probably better than waiting. There's been tons of change lately, however, and they may have discontinued the ATM service. Give them a call and find out.

EDIT:
1. Well, despite the fact that we're all angry about this, it's not so much that they're "locking up" our money as much as they don't have a way of getting it to us. Any checks they issue are being voided by US banks. The company that serviced their EFTs dropped them out of fear of the US DOJ. Ditto to the ATM service.

2. Neteller, for reasons beyond me, refuses to release a list of merchants. This could possibly be due to, again, fear of the US DOJ. The only company that I know accepts Neteller is Two Plus Two publishing, and that's not particularly helpful here. Please post if you happen to come across something.

Good luck.

contact your customer support for the website you've been gambling at. It's been widely known that Neteller has discontinued their operations in the US.
