I know the atheist science answer, but I want to know the truth. How old is the Earth?
And what caused Grand Canyon? Again, I know the atheist answer, but want to know the truth. Did Noah's Flood cause Grand Canyon?

Gary,
Then the answer is 6000 years . . . Is that right? What about dinosaurs? Did they ever exist? If so, did they exist at the same time as man?

DISCIPLE:
That is absolutely fascinating! Are you saying that God would have told us anything that He wanted us to know? Do you realize the profound implications of this?

It's way older than 6,000 years old, but no more than 4.2 billion.

4.6 billion years old.
You are in the minority if you believe otherwise. 66% of the world rejects the Judeo-Christian bible. Only a fraction of the 2 Billion self-identified Christians in the world believe that the creation story happened literally.
If God's word is "perfect" and the "truth", why does an overwhelming majority not believe his "perfect" word?
And don't say 'free will'. I can try and choose not to believe the sky is blue, but when I look up, it is perfectly clear that the sky is blue. No amount of free will can dissuade me for seeing the sky for what it really is - blue. If the bible is so perfect, how come most people walking the Earh today and the majority of people who have ever lived not see it as perfect?

The truth is here are the test results. They are all between 4 and 4.5 billion years: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-age-of-earth.html
The guys who look at the rocks were able to figure out from rocks created by tides that millions of years the Moon was closer to Earth and that it was moving away a few inches a year. This has since been verified with laser readings off a mirror left by the Apollo missions. http://www.scienceblog.com/community/older/1996/A/199600486.html
These same guys look at the rocks and say the Earth is very old and that the Grand Canyon is caused by millions of year of water erosion.

With a cool name like Tycho Brahe, you should understand the science of the answers. Unless you too lost your nose in a duel over a math equation and are bitter! HA!
Science is the search for truth, which reveals that the earth is around 4.6 Billion years old. The grand canyon is around 15 million years old.

The earth is six thousand years old and the Grand Canyon was created by the same flood that Noah saved our blessed animals in, the same flood that killed off the terrible Nephilim, praise be to the Lord! Oh glorious day gone by, all powerful Lord of wonder who gave forth His only begotten Son to release us from our sins, what wonders await us in the after life in the presence of His Grace. God save America and preserve us from the pagan ways of Satan!!

There is no limit set in the Bible for the earth and universe's age. Carefully read Gen 1:1.
The 'B' part of your question cannot possibly be answered from the Bible.

the earth is probably billions of years old.
the Colorado river eroded the Grand Canyon.
Let's make it sound a little less sciencey: God created the Colorado river, so essentially he made the canyon.

It's not "the atheist answer". Religious folk, despite what you've heard, are not forbidden from studying science.

"I know the atheist science answer, but I want to know the truth"
Then you already know the truth.
If you have a broken leg do you go to a doctor, or do you go to a mechanic?
Why would you be searching for informaiton about geology yet ask theologists?

Laugh out loud.. I don't think the greatest of religious leaders can not answer that. This is all useless, what good will it do to us if we find out? God only wanted us to be saved so, he did not include such uslessness in the bible. I also believe that earth is older than '6,000' years old. I'm a strong Christian and a lover of astronomy. Repling to the girl that commented beofre me--- God made science, and science made nothing special except some dumb theories that 'atheistic scientists made.

no one knows, even if you try to follow the bible, people actually fall in error of just quickly adding numbers, there are some time gaps in the chronological order of time in the bible. most conservatives say around maybe 12-15 thousand. but nobody knows because it really isnt important for us in our lives today, i think if god wanted us to know he would have told us. yes dinosaurs existed with man, there is an account with job 40 and 41 the behemoth and leviathon.
