Actually it is probably better to have something to eat while drinking.
Need to soak up that alcohol and less chance of getting sick or too drunk :)

IT IS A DIFFICULT ONE, AND I FEEL YOUR PAIN O FELLOW EATING DRINKER, IT IS, AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN, AN HORRENDOUS CONUNDRUM.
LOOK AT THIS WAY, AND DO THIS, NEXT TIME YOU OPEN A BEER, AND SIT DOWN, DRINKING IT, THINK TO YOURSELF, 'MMMMM, I COULD DO WITH SOMETHING TO GO WITH THIS BEER'.
SO DO IT, GO GET YOURSELF ANOTHER BEER. AND JUST HAVE IT ON THE SIDE, SIPPING AT IT EVERY NOW AND THEN. YOU WILL FIND THE BOTTLE OF BEER THAT YOU WERE ORIGINALLY DRINKING WILL LAST LONGER. SEE, ITS A MONEY SAVING IDEA TOO. IM THE BEST.

whats wrong with that>>?? if you really dont want to -- then only bring enough money for booze..?? Or snack a little before you go out. That way, you feed your craving, but dont eat as much.

i would suggest making sure you ate a full meal before you leave for the pub. maybe send your mates up to the bar with your money to avoid the temptation while you are up there. tell your mates to take them off you if you end up buying some.

Don't eat them
they are sooooo full of fat!!!
have some nuts because they are more healthy & they are quite filling also
but the salt may ( or will i should say ) make you drink more so you will just have to be sensible & set yourself limits
