My boyfriend and I have a child but we are going to file seperately. Is there any way we can share out child as dependent for out income taxes??

Only if you were to file jointly. A dependent can only be dependent on one person.

Only one person can claim the child as a dependent. It's usually preferred to have the person with the highest income claim the dependent.

For unmarried couples, check out the definition of "Head of Household", if one of you has low income, this may be the best alternative for you.
