50 million is unreasonable. I hear ya'll when ya'll say treat her like she's a normal person who wa sin the wrong..okay, so how many normal people do ya'll know who pays 50 million dollars for a car accident? I hope and doubt that she does jail time, but you never know these days.

Seeing as its jail not prison.. they are likely gonna have to do all of it if they sentance her to that.. but she may get probation or a suspended sentance as well... its hard to tell until the Judge bangs the gavel
The 50 Million is a civil suit, not a criminal action.. they will likely get a something, (seeing as she might have a conviction on the same issue.. burden of proof is way higher in a Criminal court than a civil court (Ask OJ)).. no Idea if it would be 50 Mil though
(my brother did about 7 years for vehicular manslaughter in a PA prison.. but there was alcohol involved)

I think this is stupid all in itself. Those parents are just money hungry. Brandy admitted she hit the car that the woman who was killed was driving, but another car also hit the car the woman was in. She was hit twice, who is to say Brandy is the one that killed the woman? It could just have easily been the other car's impact that killed the woman. Brandy was at fault for the wreck, but maybe not for the death so I think the 50 million lawsuit should be dismissed and those parents should be smacked! They would not sue for 50 million dollars if it wasn't someone famous! Money Hungry People!!!

In November my sister in law got hit head-on by a guy that fell asleep at the wheel. It killed her instantly. But as her family we don't feel he should have to pay in jail for that unless he had drugs in his system. The only money my brother in law gets is the insurance money which is $50,000.00 which isn't that much, she was worth more than that alive. The man has no money or land to file a civil case on.
At any given time we all drive a bit to fast as Brandy did. I feel bad for the family but Brandy has to live with this her whole life. I'm sure she isnt proud of it.

Apparently, in the view of the investigator, there was a criminal act by Brandy that led to the accident and ensuing fatality. In that case, prosecution is in order and her fame as an entertainer should have no bearing on the issue.

Jail time would be minimal if it was an accident, as far as suing goes, 50 million is a bit much for wrongful death, and as OJ is proof it is hard to actually get the money.

Vehicular manslaughter is still manslaughter. Somebody died for her stupid actions. Accident or no, celebrity or no, she should be held accountable for her actions, same as you or I would be. And in her case both civilly and criminally, because we all know she won;t do half the jail time she needs to do because of her celeb status.
