There are a bunch of airlines that fly to Hawaii including American, United, HAwaii Airlines, and Aloha Airlines. I suggest that you go to the web sites for each airline adn do searches for flights based on the cheapest fare. There is usually a place to click on the page to search by fare. Also, when you search do not specify a time, select instead all day. The cheapest flight may leave late in the evening. Also be flexible on your dates. You need to book at least 3 weeks in advance to get the cheapest fare. the closer to your travel the higher the fare.

You may also need to try airports in Calif in addition to Reno, like Oakland, SF and Sacto.

Another trick you can use for searching is to go to a siter like Expedia, or travelocity and put in some dates and see what airlines come up and then note the fares. Then go to those airlines and do a direct search. You will save at least $10 a ticket booking direct with the airline because those sites charge a fee for air ticketing.

Good luck

This has everything to do with timing. If you could give us an idea of WHEN you'd like to go, that would help a lot! :-) Also, if you have any particulars on where in Hawaii you'd like to go. Oahu (Honolulu), Maui, the Big Island, etc....

I am pretty sure Aloha, Hawaiian, United, and American all fly this route. You will find all of their fares on a site like Orbitz, or you may try Hotwire if you are not paricular about which airline or what time of day you fly. The Travelocity "Dream Map" may also be worthwhile, since it will tell you the absolute lowest fares available if you don't have dates picked yet.

Try www.hotwire.com or www.southwest.com. Those have always been helpful to me when I needed cheap tickets. It's actually cheaper to buy directly from the airline- don't go through a travel website unless you absolutely have to, because they add all kinds of little fees and extra costs to your ticket.
