Both. America is great because we have choices. Some products at Lowes are better than others and vice versa. Prices are competitive, so both will be in the ballpark. I would choose based on convenience. Which one is closer to your house? Which one has the hottest cashiers and most helpful staff? Well, that will change so, don't make a decision on something that superficial. Go with what matters. Gas prices. Go to the closest, most convenient store.

It might depend, but I like Lowes. The store is much cleaner, more organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
(It is newer than our Home Depot.)
I had a really bad experience with 12 month same as cash with Home Depot. They kept calling me from India telling me to pay the bill - which had been paid for 4 months. It was really annoying.

Lowes tends to have a higher grade of products....Like wood and plumbing and stuff like that....but for the most part they are about the same....the staff...well some professionals but most have not a clue....One thing...If you find the same product at Lowes and Home Depot they both have a low price deal of matching plus 5 percent off if you show them an add or they can confirm the price.....

It all depends on what you are looking for. Lowe's is better for decorating options, but their prices are sometimes higher. Home depot has lower prices but their lumber isn't alway to great. You really need to check each board well. Lowe's is also more organized.

We switched to Home Depot because Lowe's lost our $3,000.00 payment. We provided proof of payment to Lowe's 4 different times and was still turned over to collections.

We prefer Lowes, unfortunately Home Depot is much closer so we go there more often.
But they are really about the same.

I always say HD, everytime I go to Lowes they're all standing around gabbing and don't even look your way....But.....a new HD just opened real close to my house, and they really need to get their s*** together, because I ended up having to drive all the way to...Lowes. I'll give them a second chance though, cause I love them most and they did come closer to me....
