The one thing I still have that I keep out to look at is a wind-up bunny that plays rockabye baby. My grandma bought it for me when she found out my mom was pregnant.
The thing is stained and falling apart, but if you wind her up, she still plays her song.
I love that bunny.

Hi ,I too have the cards I was given when I was born and all my birthday cards up until about age 12 when I started keeping my own. I have my trophies from netball and some school photos.I left some things when I left home and they got given away LOLI wish now I had kept more or mum had kept more as she passed away a year ago and so it's all gone with her.

I have alot of stuffed toys and my baby blankets. I sill keep them because they were my comfort items when I was little. Every child will have a favorite toy. I had a stuffed lamb that played music and a pink and white blanket. Those were the two items that I never left the house with when I was little.

A bunny that's no more than a tattered rag now. I even dropped it in Yellowstone one time while riding in a backpack while my parents were hiking, they had to retrace their path a mile to find that thing!

My mom died was I was young, my Dad got remarried twice, and moved almost every year
I'm Glad you have stuff
My Husband parents kept almost everything

I have a dress from when I was 1, and my first ballet shoes at 2& 1/2, BOTH, in shadow box in my nursery...............patiently waiting for my adopted child......

i have the very first blanket that was ever made for me....actually it is one of my daughters favorite blankets now....
