i had pretty bad acne and i had tried everything... creams, face washes, pills, birth control... one day 6 months ago i just got fed up and decided to order some proactiv. i had heard some success stories from people i knew, plus those infomercials on tv really hook you. it has been the best thing i have done for my skin.

i find that a combination of proactiv and zapzyt (benzoyl peroxide cream 10%) works best for me. the proactiv took forever to start working (2 months). it didn't clear everything. so i added in using the zapzyt after the toner and before the lotion, and my skin has improved SO much. i still get pimples every now and then, but not nearly as much or as severe as i used to. i actually don't really mind the pimples i do get now, realizing that they are nothing compared to what i had.

looking back at pictures from 6 months ago, i can't believe how bad my skin was and how much it has improved! proactiv works the best for me. even though it's so expensive, i don't mind the price, because it's the only thing that HELPS. it won't work for everyone, and you may find that your skin gets worse before it gets better, but it's definitely worth a shot.

PROACTIV is totally worth it (from my experience.)

i'm at the instant in school to alter into an esthetician and that i've got suffered with pimples my entire existence. i exploit proactive & it definetly works. the outcomes are a lot swifter than retin-A or differin or dermatologist drugs. I spoke to a lot of human beings in college that have tried the pimples loose and mentioned it does no longer artwork as nicely. once you order Proactive all you desire is the air purifier, toner, & repairing Lotion (moisturizer). do no longer enable them to persuade you into determining to purchase the different products. All you desire is the uncomplicated kit. in case you attempt it for the 1st month & do no longer see passable outcomes, call the client provider hotline & tell them that's no longer working and you desire something better b/c there's a much better proactive line that has 7% of the benzoyle peroxide quite of the uncomplicated kit that's marketed that has 2%. The do no longer promote the better one b/c for many folk this could be too sturdy. that's the comparable value because of the fact the prevalent potential. by using the way proactive vehicle shipment each and every 2 months only value $40 six.00, that's $23.00 a month. that's an incredible value for what's does. Use the lotion sparingly distinctly around your neck for the period of the day b/c it could bleach your collar and additionally your pillow case at evening. This product works yet you're able to desire to apply it morning & evening. people who've pimples might desire to take care of their epidermis greater carefully than others, b/c the 2d you end, it is going to smash out quite undesirable. an incredible tip for adult men to hurry up the approach is to place the toner in a small spray bottle from wal-mart and only spray a mist over your face after washing. as quickly because it dries thoroughly, then stick to the lotion. As for you scaring it won't help with that yet you're able to bypass to a spa or dermatolgist to discover an esthetician that does microdermabrasion and that could help exceptionally. There additionally are large centred products that could help, you only desire an esthetician to advise something on the grounds which you go through with pimples. stable success & I help i did no longer bore you!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

My daughter used it and did not get results. She uses a nature made brand that has worked much better and doesn't cost as much as proactiv. The main thing proactiv does is it has sloughing agents to remove dead skin cells, this ingredient caused my daughter more breakouts and after we called to verify she was using it correctly was told that that issue has been a complaint from many users.

I didn't like it. It worked on my skin for about a month and then it stopped working. Plus it would make my face really sensitive. Make sure your daughter stays out of the sun right after she puts it on... and make sure she does not use the tanning booth with it on... ouch!

The best stuff I ever found was a spot treatment from Mary Kay, I use it to this day!! Zits go away literally overnight.. it works awesome!!!

Actually, Wal-Mart carries a product that has been tested and proven to be at least as good if not better than Proactiv - and it's cheaper. It's called AcneFree. Comes with a cleanser, toner, and time-release peroxide moisturizer. When used as directed, it is extremely effective. I use it, and swear by it.

Don't know about that one, but my son who suffered with severe acne was able to eliminate it by applying Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (you can get it in a health food store or on Amazon.com) to his face. The generic cider vinegars did not work as well for him.

Test for sensitivity on a small area before applying it to the entire face.

I have had "advanced acne" for years--unfortunately my sons have inherited it as well. I have never tried proactive cuz I don't believe it will work on the cysts. when it flares up too bad for any of us, we go get some tetracycline

It works for a lot of people but if it isn't effective for her and she has a good case of acne consider seeing the doc for antibiotic therapy for her to get the staph bacteria under control.
