Who Say's suicide is a sin?

Suicide is a faithless act that basically says "God I dont care about what you want for my life, I just want to end it." While we are on this earth God wants us to do his will, not kill ourselves. Once we die, our work is done.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:19

Suicide isn't always a sin. In order for it to be a sin, it has to be done with the person's full understanding and be a deliberate choice on their part.

If there are extenuating circumstances such as depression, drug or alcohol use, mental illness, etc., then suicide is not necessarily considered a sin. The person's judgement was clouded and they didn't completely understand what they were doing. And since most people are in desperate straits when they commit suicide, I'd say that probably covers just about all of them.

The bottom line is that nobody knows what happens after death, and God is infinitely merciful and loving. We can trust Him to take care of our loved ones, living and dead, no matter what the circumstances.

Suicide is a sin. God put us on this earth to do his will. He created the 10 commandments and one of them is Thou shalt not kill....that means yourself. God loves you and if you commit suicide, then you cannot have time to ask for forgiveness for that. So it is a big sin.
