Is Vista worth the money? I'm guessing the two computer deal is out for that, but is it worth getting for the pc?

On older copies of the program, yes. Newer copies today sometimes contain a verification protocol that makes a registration check, and if found to already be in use, will prevent you from using that XP on more than one system. If you have further questions, you can research on Microsoft's website for thier current specifications and perhaps ask for a backup copy of your cd... which might give you enough of a loophole to put on both computers. Good luck.

If both the PC and the Laptop meet the minimum requirements for WindowsXP then you can run that O/S on each system.

However, you need to have two licenses, hence you have to buy two copies for two computers. Read the End User License Agreement (EULA) that came with the software for the rules of the game.

There is no shortcut to being software legal...!

Yes but you can't let Microsoft know that you are sharing the the version that you bought with the computer

I believe that XP is for one computer. If you buy MS Office, the common license is for one laptop and one desktop.

You can't legally do this, and if you go ahead there's a good chance your license key will get blacklisted as pirated and Windows Update will deny you security patches. All in all, not a good idea.
