Well I would suggest "Unforgettable" by Natalie Cole and her Dad. I wanted to use this, but my Dad said I couldn't cause he said he'd cry! lol, It's too sad he says. :P

are you close with your father?
if so, the absolute best is I Loved Her First by Heartland...I heard it for the first time at a friends wedding in October and I was in tears by the end of the first chorus.
congrats on your engagement!

i ADORE the meaning of this song, and am using it for my father/daughter dance at my wedding in march. it's gaining in popularity for that purpose, yet not OVERDONE yet like butterfly kisses, etc. its called
"my wish" by rascal flatts. here are the lyrics
I hope that days come easy
and moments pass slow,
and each road leads you
where you want to go,
and if you're faced with a choice,
and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one
that means the most to you.
and if one door opens to another
door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin'
till you find the window,
if it's cold outside,
show the world the warmth of your smile,
more then anything, more then anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life
becomes all that you want it,
to your dreams stay big,
and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more
then you can hold,
and while you're out there
getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you,
and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back,
but ya never forget,
all the ones who love you,
in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive,
and you never regret,
and you help somebody
every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace,
in every mistake,
and you always give more then you take.
Oh More then anything, Yeah,
and more then anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life
becomes all that you want it,
to your dreams stay big,
and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more then you can hold,
and while you're out there
getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you,
and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish
if you have a particularly sweet relationship with your father, i highly recommend "i loved her first" by heartland. again, its gaining popularity, yet not overdone. here are those lyrics.
look at the two of you dancing that way
lost in the moment and each others face
so much in love you're alone in this place
like theres nobody else in the world
i was enough for her not long ago
i was her number one she told me so
and she still means the world to me
just so you know
so be careful when you hold my girl
time changes everything life must go on
and im not gunna stand in your way
i loved her first
i held her first
and a place in my heart will always be hers
from the first breath she breathed
when she first smiled at me
i knew the love of a father runs deep
and i prayed that she'd find you someday
but its still hard to give her away
i loved her first
how could that beautiful woman with you
be that same freckled face kid that i knew
the one that i read all those fairy tales to
and tucked into bed all those nights
and i knew the first time i saw you with her
it was only a matter of time
i loved her first
i held her first
and a place in my heart will always be hers
from the first breath she breathed
when she first smiled at me
i knew the love of a father runs deep
and i prayed that she'd find you someday
but its still hard to give her away
i loved her first
from the first breath she breathed
when she first smiled at me
i knew the love of a father runs deep
so yeah you might know what i'm going through
when a miracle smiles up at you
yeah i loved her first
