i am coming up on the end of my enlistment in a few months and it looks like im going 2 reenlist for another 4 yrs. the last 4 yrs hasnt been that bad for me, so why not do another 4....my question is i know that the air force is cutting about 40,000 troops, can they deny me reenlistment? my afsc isn't overmanned and i have my approved cjr and i have never had any negitive administrative action....my pif is clean. anyways i was just wondering because it looks like ill be signing back up in july....thanks.

Since your CJR is approved, the only thing that would stop you from reenlisting is if you've recieved any Article 15's, UIF's, or control roster actions. Since your PIF is clean, you should have no problems. Most likely if your AFSC was overmanned you wouldn't have gotten your CJR in the first place and they would've given you the option to separate or retrain into an AFSC that isn't overmanned.

Bottom line.... welcome to reenlistment.

I'm pretty sure that most of the downsizing was going to take place with officers, as well as lowering recruiting quotas. Don't quote that though.

I doubt you'll have any problem reenlisting. Congrats!

Yes they could deny you reenlistment.

But since you have been approved already for reenlistment and have a CJR, you don't have to worry.

GO BLUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
