Since you are unable to boot, try pressing F8 while it's booting (tap it until it takes). It should bring you to a screen that you can 'enter SAFE mode'.....

AT that point, it should boot to Safe mode - BEFORE you enter safe mode (if you're running XP), it will ask you if you want to RESTORE or enter Safe Mode. Click to RESTORE - at that point a calendar will come up.... pick the last time your computer was running right and let it do it's thing - it'll take 5-10 minutes - depending on your computer.

98 does not have a restore system.

first of all, MACS ARE OVERPRICED very much. For the fee of a mac about 2/fifth's better in fee than a workstation/ yet that pc has had changes finished to it, so it really is the reason it gained't enable it set up something. answer- turn off comp, watch for boot demonstrate screen to load, press the button that asserts gadget settings or something..not the Bios menu then flow to fix

I think u should reinstall the os.
b calm. insert windows bootable disk, restart the comp, and install recover mode. it will fix the problems related with the system.
If u dont have bootable disk and have non bootable system disk then
install it in upgrade mode but it will take more time than the previous method.
U can get the installation procedure in detail in the cd itself or try this site
http://www.ehow.com/

It will not harm ur system.

Good lcuk.

Run anti-spyware and virus check if possible. If U have XP, I suggest System Restore. Also, try booting in SAFE-MODE. Press F8 key repeatedly when first booting up to get to options screen and select SAFE MODE.

this is simple, happened to me once. click Ctrl + Alt and type in HTG88 (without letting go of the Ctrl and the Alt) . A message should appear that sas, would you like to restore your default settings? and then click yes and there.. you may use everything now!
