LIke to be in love with your mother and father..
right?

why do i feel like i'm just using him.. Only asking him for things..
dissapointing him.. and expecting forgiveness?

Why does the Lord answer my prayers if i cannot even love him like he loves me?
How can he love me even though.. i feel like i am just.. 'using' him. Only seeking him in troubled times..

You shouldn't love a fake as much as you love your mother and father because your parents will always be there for you, this myth won't.

Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited ... Love takes no pleasure in other peoples sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. 1 Cor: 13 ... God is love (Jn)

God understands, and his patience will allow you to change and strive to more more patient, kind, forgiving, too. God made each of us different ... same as you have fingars which are different from each other.

Some ppl have said they experience passion with God ... others fall in love, and the experience a "Black Love" (Blessed Mother Theresa) where their ecstacy was so fast and sudden, she couldn't get to that level again, and sometimes forgot what the love of God felt like ... but still had faith, obeyed God, and helped mankind.

Others are called to show and feel love through teaching, or prophecising ... some others get their vocation in marriage, and being parents. Each love with God is special and unique. You're is developing, and you will see his plan 4 u.

Your analogy of parental love is right on.

As we inevitably disappointed our human parents at times, so we often disappoint God. And just like our parents, He still loves us when we disappoint Him.

It's common for us to turn to God in times of troubles. He doesn't mind. The hard thing is to think of Him when things go well. We sometimes don't think we need Him then.

You're having the same doubts that uncounted others have had (and still have). I've found that the company of other believers helps.

Hang in there. When things go bad, turn to Him without worrying what He will think. He will still love you. When things get better, thank Him for just that. Thank Him for the little as well as the big things.

It's called "unconditional love." It means that we are loved for who we are and not for what we do. If loving another unconditionally has been difficult for you to do, or to accept love given unconditionally, then it is likely that you did not get to experience it from one or both of your parents. Parents should love their children unconditionally...but that does not always happen unfortunately.

It is said that God loves a repentant heart more than anything. He knows that you are aware of what He does for you, and that is saying a lot because there are too many others who do not.

There is very little that God requires of you to do beyond walking humbly and doing things for others. The Prophet Micah wrote:

"...what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

Walking humbly means that you do not brag about God or feel that you command His attention anymore than anyone else. Know also that God weighs your heart for its intention such that if you intend to do something right, but somehow you never actually do it, your intent is counted as if you did. Likewise, if you go to a house of worship without the intention to pray, but you do happen to pray, you are not going to win any Brownie points with the Almighty.

It's very hard to seek God when things are going well, hich is why it seems like you are only seeking him in tines of trouble.

But, He knows the intentions of your heart, and He knows that you indeed love Him, for you seek Him out above all else.

you only ask for something from the person you trust and believe in.its good that you ask from God.you can try to obey Him .that l strenghthen the bond between you and God.
i dont think you can use God in any way.its your right to ask from Him whatever you need.God has created you so HE will fulfill your needs aswell. He loves all of His creations.and as far as i know, you love Him also thats why you seek help from Him in difficult times knowing that HE will help.Just like A child, who may not tell his mother that he loves her but goes to her when he needs something, coz he trusts that she l fulfill his demands.and the way you are thinking shows that you are not selfish.
