It really depends on the size, Since you said it was a small dog you could have two or three, for larger pets though, stick with one. It isn't weird to have dogs in an appartment either, trust me.

Two small dogs in a one bedroom apartment might be just fine for some people, and it might be too much for others. Personally, I think that's perfectly fine, as long as you are OK with sharing your space to that extent. Two dogs really do take up a lot more room than one dog, and two dogs can get much more creative when it comes to destroying or chewing on your stuff. On the plus side, two dogs can entertain each other very well.
Hope this helps...

I lived in a one bedroom apartment for some time, only had one dog, but he was a large dog...weighed about 65-70 pounds, so two were out of the question for me. Two small dogs would be fine to me personally....as long as it was okay with the landlord, you were able to take care of both, and the dogs get along. You are a person who likes dogs...nothing weird about that. Just my opinion, hope it helps!

Its not WEIRD but inconvinient maybe.
Consider:
SCENT: maybe you'll place will stink
SPACE: The dogs will want there own spaces.
ENVRONMENT: can they run around a lot, or will you walk them?
Anyway, the rules in my apartment are: if you live downstairs you can have one large dog or two small dogs- upstairs no dogs only cats (I live downstairs with my chihuhua and I have a little yard)
Anyway, hope this helps!

You could probably get another dog. But before you get him for sure. Make sure the dog you already have and the new one meet so you can see how much they'll like eachother. Also, make sure when you get the other dog that you don't pay to much attention to it or the other will get jelous.

No problem if the landlord doesn't mind and you have time for them. I had two dogs and a cat in a RV. I'd think you would be weird if you don't get another one

it wouldnt be weird maybe just not fair for the dogs because you don't have a yard. What kind dog? Chihuahuas don't need a lot of exercise, i have 2 but i have a huge house and backyard for them to run around in, so just htink about what kind of environment you have would be good fro a breed of dog. GOOD LUCK!!
