i filed with tax cut last night and got rejected. here is the problem

My fed wages (box 1 ) and my state wages dont match up.
My fed wages are EXACTLY $3900.77 LESS than state. 3900.77 is what i paid for my benefits. (which came on a separate w-2)
who do i talk to at work about this? i have never had this problem before. i usually love tax season. i am not going to an accountant.

My FED wages are ALWAYS less than my STATE wages by the amount of pre-tax deductions. The only problem I see is the separate W-2 for benefits should never have been issued.

You need to talk to your employer and see if they can issue you a proper W-2. Benefits should not be on a separate W-2 but should be included on the same W-2.

Your Federal taxable income is normally your income minus what you paid for benefits throughout the year.
I do not pay State taxes. sp I am not sure of this...but you probably have to pay taxes on your entire income for State.
So, it sounds right to me.
