HEy im planning a quick trip just to get away for a bit ( 1 day ) to Los angelas im flying into LAX andi get there at 7:35 and i leave the next day at 10 at night is there anything to do in that span time is there a mall close by or anything? im just wondering what i should do in this time my flights are free and i had to use these coupons quick or they woulda expired so i decided to go to LA anyone have any idea what to do? im not old enough to drink im just looking for some shopping then heading back home! anything close to the Airport? Thanks

Yes, go to the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica (link below), where you can shop shop shop. Also, go to Marina del Rey, which is only about 4 miles from the airport. There's shopping and dining with great view of the open water. You can relax and hit the beach. It's been raining off and on the past couple of days, so you may not enjoy our typical sunshine weather. Have a fun and safe trip.

Blake, I recomend Hermosa Beach. it's only 10-15 min from LAX. There are many places to eat, drink and watch people.
Beach is absolutely beautiful.

Check with the hotels in the surrounding area. They may have conventions or conferences that you might find interesting to attend. As it is a major city, they undoubtedly have comic book, anime or technology conventions. What is available and your interests will obviously need to conincide with the dates of your visit.

take the 105 and head east. you'll see a casino on your left. if you go pass it, you'll see the 710 fwy; go north. on your right hand side you'll see bicycle club casino. oh wait your not old enuf to drink....you can't go into a casino.
malls close early...around 9. nothing you can do really. just stay in the hotel. it's safe there.

not old enough to drink? are you old enough to rent a car? that makes a big difference. You can take the bus, head towards Westwood, not Inglewood.
