i stupidly downloaded free trial website subscription withouting noticing terms and conditions, stating that free trial only lasts for 3 days. consequently I am receiving micro billing sytem deliveries now demanding payment, I have tried to uninstall software but it just keeps reappearing, threatening to bring my computer to a standstill..clever stuff!!! I have cancelled the subscription. Should I just pay up the demand and request that they arrange the unistallation..or is there another way ?

Whats the name of the programme billing you, is it a pop up that just appears out of nowhere? If so i will be able to tell you how to rid it, but must know the name.

You would only be in trouble if you gave them a credit card details. You’re either getting mail asking you for payment and then as someone said just block the sender, or you are getting “pop up” asking you for payment because of a spyware in your PC. By law, no-one can “bring your Pc to a stand still” as it is illegal and could only be achieve with the help of a virus or Trojan (that mean they could go to jail for that) at best all they can do is to stop your trial for their program and that’s it.
You should:
1) Make sure you un-install that particular program.
2) Run an anti-spyware like ad-aware to get read of any malware/ spyware the program might have left in your PC.
3) Run an up to date anti-virus on your PC
4) Send me a copy of the message you are getting as well as the name of the software and where you downloaded it from so I can have some fun with them :) (frenchie_nic@yahoo.co.uk).
5) NEVER NEVER give any money to anyone threatening you on the internet.

please don't give these fools any money....forward their mail to the junk folder and add em to the block sender list

They don't have any control over your computer so just don't respond to the email and let them go on their merry way

If you can't get the program to uninstall....go into the system registry and delete the associated keys for that software. Then delete the program folders from the hardrive. If access to the folders is blocked, then do it in safe mode.
