Hey chill out, you are talking about the oldest profession in the history of mankind.....

Where there is demand, there will be supply. I am against the discrimination too can we provide the welfare for these sex workers? Life is cruel and what about the Vietnamese sex trade right smack in your own back yard? Go check Joo Chiat.

This is life and you just need to get a de-sensitized over the time.

well that was a pointless question. Before asking questions please be sensible.

To answer - They are doing something wrong but, one person not doing it will not make it stop. These women do it because the money is so much better then what they would get doing anything else. It is horrible to see these girls with older men. Got to me!

And as for the AIDS comment, if you are going to have sex in Thailand with a bar girl you have to use protection, quiet simple

Morality dictates that people should not have sex outside of marriage (or, at least, true love). Many men go to Thailand, The Philippines, etc. for sex, often with underaged girls (or boys), who are forced by limited education and opportunities to engage in such life. STDs are a fact of life among these girls and their clients, including AIDS. But, it will not end because there will always be men in positions of greater wealth. Personally, I am disgusted by some of these men - whether old or young - travelling simply for sex. Life imprisonment? Too serious. But, maybe a jail term. By the way, Thai law does make prostitution unlawful, so they can be arrested now without new laws.

I too abhore those who engage for sex with those who are less powerful, more vulnerable than the perpertrators especially with underage people. You must remember of course that age of consent is a changable feast with countries adopting widely ranging ages when consent to sex is considered valid.

Now you must also be aware that the vast majority of single males and females who travel abroad for holidays and sometimes on business trips will engage in some sort of sexual activity - either multiply with one partner or wiith multiple partners. (I am not going to provide the references these can be searched for on Google or some other specialist search engine). It therefore seems to be a ubiquitous activity of single travellers.

So to lock people up for life for having sex while travelling or abroad is a rather silly suggestion and does not show that the question has really be thought about.

And as for the AIDS statements - well don't you have it in your country - it is everyones' responsibility to protect themselves from this and other sexually transmitted diseases.

It is actually illegal in Thailand, just that many visitors are oblivious to this because the Thais are so tolerant f visitors. But, if caught during police raids, a jail term is the nrom. And many have complained about Thai jails.

It is best to go to Thailand for the sights Sex, go to Amsterdam where it is street legal.
