I want to use the micro link aka clamp method to do hair extensions, but the beauty supply store closest to me only sells human hair on a weft, so i would have to cut it off, and then but this special hair extension glue for about $70, but i want to know if it will be okay if I use regular hot glue from a craft store...
Thank You!

I totally believe in trying new and different items in new ways. I am pretty sure that a regular craft glue gun is too hot and might burn the hair through. I have seen cool glue guns though. The glue is tough but does not get as hot and will not burn.
I say give it a try on yourself first but be careful. Even the cool glue gun might get hot enough to accidentally burn the scalp.

No... you can't..... that is why they have " hair extension glue".. and "regular hot glue"... they both are two different kinds of glue.
