Gosh! This sure is a hard question, and one pondered by so many people throughout history, I don't even know where that list of folks would begin! There is a book in the bible that deals with the issue of tragedy affecting innocents - Job. You may want to read up on that. Also, a good book - not sure of the author - but it's called Why Bad Things Happen to Good People. Also, I encourage you to discuss this with your church's pastor or youth pastor. I'm so sorry for your loss and for your thoughts that are heavy with burden.

God does always answer prayers, just not always with the answer we were hoping to hear. He has a plan for our lives. He is actively at work in your life. God bless and keep you Lisa.

Here's the thing about God - you can pray, but you won't always get what you want.

Somethings happen in one's life that make us wonder why this or that happened, but I do look back on some of the things I thought were unfair and realize that there may have been some purpose, regardless of how difficult and tragic that purpose stemmed from. You have to remember that if you believe in God, you know that this life is merely a phase of life, nothing more.

Life may not always seem fair, but there is a justice beyond our understanding. I am sorry your sister passed away and recognize it must have been very painful.

We learn and grow from our tragedies and we are sometimes better people for it - perhaps more compassionate or understanding. Some of the greatest people are taken way too early, but I believe that they are not gone, they are somewhere else, without pain and fear. We are the ones that are left to deal with the sadness.

In regards to your prayers not being answered. I believe that what we think is best may not always be best, or at least it may not always be best at the time. Perhaps your prayers will be answered but you have to have patience, perhaps it will get rougher before it gets easier, perhaps you will be faced with a decision that will transform your whole life and will make you care little of what others think and so you will naturally lose your inability to be an extrovert. Who knows.

The other thing I believe is that God guides us but maybe we don't even see what he has thrown at us. Have you ever seen an ad or poster for a dramatic arts club? How about toastmasters? Have you ever been faced with an opportunity to be less shy through joining groups but it went unnoticed by you? You need to help yourself. God gave you the tools to do it, but you have to get yourself out there, even if it is difficult. It may even be an opportunity God presented you with to grow.

We don't always get what we want, and sometimes when we do it takes time, but that doesn't mean God isn't with you.

If you feel god is not there, take a good look at your life are you doing things that are not pleasing to him? Any sin you take part in distances you from God. Confess your sins and you can begin to feel his presents again. God does not always promise a yes answer to a prayer but he hears them and he does deal with them just sometimes not in the way you would, but he does everything according to his plan. No it's not fair that some people die and some live but i take comfort in this:
Psalm 71: 20-21
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
Don't worry either all christians feel this way sometimes I know I do too just take sometime to ask him some stuff for a change and listen instead you you doing all the talking. Also try a website like www.Klove.com they have people you can talk to and pray with you and incouraging words and music. God loves you

God works in completely mysterious ways. He does hear your prayers and everything is going to work out in the end. You did say your friend’s mom just got cured. Did you pray for your friend's mom? Maybe that’s why she’s cured. Keep praying, and tell God how you feel. You need to tell God when you don’t really feel that close to Him as you need to. Of coarse He already knows more about you than even you do, but He loves hearing His children speak to him. He wants to help you, but you have to talk to Him about your problem. He really has done so so much for you, and he wants you to feel like he’s always there for you, because he is. Even if you cant see or feel God at a crucial moment, know that He has promised to never leave you, and He always keeps His promises. You also are supposed praise God more than you ask Him for things. You need to let Him now much you appreciate him even when things arent too good, because he loves you.

Jesus didn't tell us that when we become believers that we would have an easy life. Actually he said, this world is full of trouble. He also said, he would never leave us.

One of the many great things about Jesus is that when we walk through the valleys (hard times, etc.) of life he will hold our hand and walk with us. He's not only with us when things are good...he's with us when it's bad too.

God answers all prayers...and "NO" is an answer. There are three answers to prayers:
1) Yes and you may have it now.
2) No, you don't see the big picture. You only see the part you are in, right now. Or it wouldn't be the best thing for you, right now...etc.
3) Wait for my perfect timing.

Next time you are beginning to feel nervous or scared, remember God did not give you the spirit of fear. That is from the enemy. Begin to pray to God for strength and his help to get you through the nervous and scary times. He will. You only need to believe and have faith that what you are asking for, he will do it.

If you have any unrepented sin in your life (could be something as simple as unforgiveness.) Confess your sins to the Lord. He will take care of you.

I am sorry for your loss (sister.) People die because each day is of our lives are numbered. Only God knows the number and only He knows the right time to take us home. Just remember their are no good-byes in Jesus Christ. You will get to see your sister again in Heaven and that will be an awesome day!

May you find peace and comfort through Jesus Christ.

I can feel Him down in my Soul.
We must Pray believing the God has the power and if it is His Will that He will answer our Prayer. Thank God for what that He is doing and is going to do for you. Praise and Worship are neglectied by some. Never Pray doubting or the Prayer will not be answered.
Faith is the the key that opens God's blessing to us.
I have Prayed for you and here is a scripture you might recieve comfort from.

"spirit of fear" was found 1 times in 1 verses in the New Testament.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Nothings wrong. You have to have faith, you have to claim what you want and need and see yourself with it. Im telling you I know exactly how you feel. It hurts and make you feel like screaming and crying, but Jesus is there and it hurts him to see us without. Claim it in the name of Jesus, thats what you have to do and YOU have to believe. Just because he doesn't answer a prayer, doesnt mean he cant do it or dont want to do it, or cant. He can do anything but fail, and he is always on time. We are not suppose to lean to our understanding. The best thing that you can do that I think is fast (please let me know if you dont know what that means). And lay it at the Throne of Grace, and dont pick it up again. That means, dont keep praying about the same thing, God is not like us, he doesnt have to be asked over and over, when you pray like that, you are cancelling out the prayer. pray for what you need, believe and leave it alone. That is hard to do, but the word says be anxious for nothing. Try it, you'll be glad you did, I was. email me anytime with questions like this if you like.

Not every single prayer is answered, but they are all heard. And some are answered in ways that you do not expect. He does exist, and he cares for every single living thing. Even animals and people like Hitler. And that thing that you said about people dying? Nobody dies until their purpose on Earth is fullfilled. So you can be happy to know that your sister had served her purpose on Earth. How old was your sister? If she was younger than 8, then she will for sure go to heaven.

please ignore these atheists!!!

I have gone through the same thing, wondering about my prayers being answered. We have to have complete faith in God on these things, even though we sometimes don't understand His plan. God has a plan for all of us, and sometimes what we want doesn't fit into that. But we have to trust in Him and know that He wants the best for us and our loved ones. When you pray for something, you must know whether it is backed by biblical teachings. What I mean by this is that we can't pray for things that don't fit in with what God wants for our lives. We also have to pray with complete faith.
Take your cares and worries to the Lord, and leave them there. Trust in Him, and He will give you answers. Hope this helps. Jesus loves you, He even loves these people who deny Him!

GOD DOES EXIST. Just dont pray for something against nature. If you really need help pray for a good psicoanalist to hit on you... for a good friend to share a beer... for a faithfull dog to play with... for the love of your family... and you will realize that life is better. WE ARE PART OF THE WORD THAT WAS MADE BY GOD AND WE MUST FOLLOWS ITS RULES. Usually what you think is unfair are the things against that rules.
****NOTE: Can someone help me believe what I am saying? ***
