For the past 5 years i have been expirencing purple and blue fingers and toes. I have been tested for problems with my thyroid gland and everything came back normal. I have been told to get retested in 6-8 months but its pain full having them this way. Along with the color they are frozen solid. I am concerned but am constantly told there is nothing they can do. They are this way on a regular basis even when the temperature reaches 98 degrees in the summer. I exercise regularly and eat healthy (no fast food or food high in fat, carbs and calories). Does anybody know what could possibly be wrong?! advice would be greatly welcomed.

If your toes ares and fingers are actually blue and cold, I would make an appointment with a cardiologist. It sounds like not enough oxygen is getting to your feet. Perhaps a mitrial or atrial valve murmur.

I would also request tests for diabetes and a B12 deficiency.

Unfortunately, doctors are merely consultants. You have to be forceful if YOU think something is not right. It's hard when you're not feeling well to be your own advocate, but it's necessary. In the end, you know your body best.

Try Googling your symptoms and take what I've said and what you find with you to your doctor and insist that you be referred to someone that can help you.

This sounds like it's impeding your ability to function and is impacting your piece of mind. Find strength and get some answers. You deserve to live without suffering.

You have poor peripheral circulation and it needs to be investigated. Who are these doctors that give you this advise? Get rid of them!
Find a vascular surgeon and get a referral to consult with one.
If you allow this to continue you will eventually begin to see deterioration of your flesh in these areas like gangrene. Poor circulation means less oxygenated blood being taken to keep tissue alive. The blueness means the oxygen has been used up and is not being returned to the heart and lungs for reoxygenation.
In the interim get some special elasticated stocking from your chemist. These are often sold to diabetics or people travelling on airlines regularly they help to return the blood to the heart.

I think they may also have the gloves available now too .

But the primary action is to go to a reputable doctor, be examined and get a referral as i said. Don't leave it any longer, if you are also a smoker STOP now!

Could it be might be Lupus? Or blood constriction? Or you may want to look up about Raynaud's Phenomenon. I'm experiencing purple-colored toes and it's always cold. I am being told it's likely my vessels are constricting, which causes the discoloration and explain why my toes are most-of-the-time cold. However, there are rashes for me, so my physician is concerned I might have a case of Lupus but being dormant. But Raynaud's seems to be a high possibility of what you're suffering from. Talk to your doctor about it and see can that might be a possibility.
