Well if you want to meld those two ideas together, God could have just set Creation much further back than the Old Testament says, accounting for the existence of multiple faiths that do predate Christianity.
There is already a concept of Adam and Eve that ties into evolution, where Eve represents the female ancestor whose mtDNA is found in all people today, or at least her mtDNA is somewhat conserved among people today. So "Eve" could have lived much further back than it says in the Old Testament.
This is just speculation, of course.

As people rejected God through sin, they began religions. These don't do anything to get you to heaven, though, bc a religion says you have to do something to get to heaven, like do a number of good works or achieve a certain state, or whatever it may be. The problem is, we can't do anything to get to heaven, since we can't remove our sin on our own, we need Christ to do it for us.
Christ didn't come for several thousand years, so many religions developed over time, Christianity is meant to be different, bc God wants a relationship with us, not a religion. The entire purpose of the Law is to show us that religions don't work.

Christianity would not redate them. Jesus came as a Jew and was beaten, spit upon, was murdered (on the ROMAN CROSS), was buried, arose, was taken into heaven and Christianity began as a result of the HOLY GHOST visiting the Apostles of CHRIST. Those Apostles spread HIS WORD even though they were beaten, jailed, and all but one of them was KiLLeD for their cause, CHRISTIANITY. All they had to do was renounce Jesus as GOD's SON and the torture would have ended. They never did so. Christianity was the second part of GOD's MESSAGE to man. HIS first message was the Old Testament to the Israelites. They refused to acknowledgr Christ even though they had seen HIS miracles and signs. GOD created man, woman, the earth, and everything that is in it. Have a great evening.

read the old testament, remember the tower of babel?
remember all the times God exterminated some people, and humanity spread all over the world? since then, God has chosen a specific people to be his "nation", so there are other people trying to find that religion but get lost somewhere along the way, and end up with different religions

Actually there wouldn't have been any Christians (followers of Christ) until after Christ was born. Before Jesus it was the Jewish religion. If people weren't happy with the real God, they would just make one up. Instead of being humble and trying to understand God's word. Some leaders of countries made up Gods to manipulate and control their people.

Your really need to read the Bible or atleast a summary of it. Adam and Eve were created and God slowly began revealing himself more and more to humanity through people like Abraham, Moses and then finally Jesus. God did mention Jesus to Adam and Eve.
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
Satan will inflict injury to mankind but out of mankind God will come as a man and strike a crushing blow.

God is responsible for all the confusion but religious people will say it's the devil. God is responsible because (according to the holy bible) we had 1 language and we were getting along as 1 people but god felt intimidated when we as a people were building a tower to reach him. SO he decided to confuse all of us (with language)so we can and would go separate ways.
Today he did it with religion where we can't unite because of different beliefs. I thought god would want to keep unity with his people but his actions show his real nature. He wants to keep us separated.
