So many choices!
Dips are great! Here are 2:
Spinach Dip:
1 box Knorrs Vegetable Dip (dried) the recipe is on the back
1 16 ounce sour cream
1 10 ounce box chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
1 cup mayo
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
1 can water chestnuts, diced fine
Serve with crackers and celery chunks, cukecumber slices, green pepper strips, carrots, anything you want.
You can put the dip into a "bread bowl" and take the veggies in zip loc bags and crackers in the box. Be sure to bring your own platter so the hostess isnt responsible for your assembly.
Taco Dip:
In a 9 X 13 pan, layer refried beans, top with sour cream mixed with a taco seasoning packet. Top that with shredded mexican cheese and sliced black olives and sliced green onions....anything you want really. Take along chips and salsa for topping.
You could also make Pigs in a Blanket:
Cresant Rolls, each triangle cut into 3 smaller triangles and smokie links to wrap with each triangle you have. Bake as cresant package says but you may want to cook a little longer as the dough is filled and needs longer to cook. You can serve these warm or room temp.
Buy large flour tortillas, ham, turkey, shredded lettuce and some flavored cheese spread. Layer the tortilla with spread add the rest and roll up and wrap tightly in Saran and then chill for a few hours, cut into 1 inch spirals for finger bite sized sandwiches.
Take a meat and cheese tray and some buns and different mayos and mustards.
All of these ideas dont cause the hostess to work at all.
have a ball!

beer dip. Take equal parts 16 oz cream cheese and 16 oz velveeta cheese. Melt together then add garlic powder to taste. Add 1 can of beer and stir until blended. To serve get a 2 lb round loaf of seedless rye bread. Slice off the top and then hollow out. Get a second loaf of seedless rye and slice that into bite size chunks along with the portion that came from hollowing out the round loaf. When you get to the party, place the hollowed loaf onto a platter, then pour your cheese mix inside and place the cut up bread around the "bread bowl" and serve. Guys love it because it has beer in it. Good Luck and have fun. By the way this is very kid friendly too, there is not enough alcohol in it to affect them.

24 wings cut in half, tips removed
1 c. sugar
1 c. soy sauce

1/2 c. salad oil
1/4 c. FROZEN concentrate pineapple juice(right from the can)
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. garlic salt
Mix all ing. together except wings. marinate covered 12 hr to overnight.(I put in 2 ziploc bags so I can turn them over easier while marinating)

Discard marinade before baking. DO NOT COVER
Will remain at a good temp for a while and are o.k. room temp too.
