A stronger antidote I think for Cancers and HIV/AIDS...2 keep the public a bit more safe by means of heavier drugging and mounds of kemo. Im not knocking current means but so painful you suffer both ways sick and while your healing it shouldn't this way. There are new drugs out today. When we had Relgion and Moses walked the earth man lived to be 100's of years and a a simplicit prayer we were cured. In Asia meditation and Chi is secret to longevity. Alot of companies are makin'em (Drugs and Remmedies) like we need to hear may cause bleeding and upset stomach. Recent Favorite I have yet to try lol is the 4 month Period Pill sounds real Good but may cause sudden spotting or blood clotting there goes my sex life and well ill need another drug to thin my blood, may cause headache or fatique lolol nahhh if this is what it takes is it worth it? Id rather stick to my monthly its natural.
A Scientific Advancement in 10 years that can isolate all these so called dead cells /bad cells by incorporating one remedy for all. Sounds unfathomable right a slower process too research but with one all natural drug with natural healing no side effects and natural components using ingredients or our own DNA individually or from nutrients proteins natural sources from our plants and animals fruits and vegi's and water and sunlight, herbals and tranquility
So if there is such a drug not protruding with elements like hallucinagenics and horomones mimicking the renewal process I mean Drugs are the main reason some parish and are aided back to health why not create a world wide awareness day month or open a hotline where people call in or email the home remedies 4 a cure "In The Name Research" by talking to everyone getting there ideas and start putting action into place or if one would get funds from such a find put it back in the ecological system by regrowth of natural resources so we may have a life long supply of the natural cures. Alot cheaper don't ya think yea that is some real research one idea can save and advance our lives Science professionals may have the degree and know how to strategically format but we common folk might just have the cure using all natural things This should not take 10 years either. Breyers ice cream where you know exactly what your eating and its good for you. its a great start lol
Scientist we appreciate you try listening 2 responses from a country with the least amount of Cancers, Aids and work from there. People We Need to Care

Predicting scientific advances is tricky--if we knew what was out there, we'd alread have the advance! :) But here's 3 possibilities:

1) with new telescopes (one just launched into orbit) we may see more extrasolar planets discovered--hopely ones closer in size to Earth. That could help us get a better idea of the chances of earth-llile planets and life elsewhere in the universe
2) A much better uderstanding of the human genome and the aging process--which in turn could lead to extensions of human life and ways to cure disease.
3) A sustained fusion reaction--the first step to a fusion power technology.

Now if you're talking about technology rather than science, here's some things that are "in the works" and likely to be available (at least on a limited basis) wuthin 10 years:

Organ transplants using organs grown from cells of the patients own body (thus--no rejection problems or need for doners)
The beginnings of manufacturing in space
New solar energy technology that will make it one of the cheapest forms of energy available

there's more of course-but those should pique your curiosity--and you can find more on the web about al of them. Good lluck! :)

I heard on the radio that there are scientist/doctors in Japan or China, who have found a way to draw small amounts of electricity from human blood which can later be used to power small devices that can be implanted in our bodies. Devices that could help with high blood pressure and heart monitoring.
Now whether this is all true or not, I would love to see some advancement like that within the next 10 to 20 years.

I am sure it is something that will enable us to live longer for one.

If I am correct, our military is planning on using lasers on our Humvee vehicles or something like that in the next 10 years.

Just a few things there.

Einstein's theories proved count number is neither created nor destroyed. for sure, your body purely decays into nutrition for organisms and the Earth to feed off of, it truly is then grew to grow to be into waste, potential, etc. as far as your "soul" or "spirit", it truly is a question of religion. the impressive thing about faith for those that are loopy is that it ought to not in any respect be shown nor unproven. Agnostics have the finest view in this entire subject, authentic agnostics a minimum of. In a nutshell, it skill you do not deny the prospect of the existence of a "author", yet you do not unavoidably have self assurance in it both, with out data. the finest quote quite comes from the guy that coined the time period: "Agnosticism isn't a creed yet a way, the essence of which lies contained in the completed of existence application of a unmarried concept... absolutely the most should be expressed as in concerns of mind, do not fake conclusions are particular which at the instantaneous are not tested or demonstrable." on the proper of the day, it really is INTELLECTUALLY the finest mind-set to this age previous question and debate. non secular people can sound mind about the Bible being authentic or not, regardless of the indisputable fact that it really is purely a e book about activities which have not in any respect repeated themselves (i.e. speaking, burning bush, etc). they're purely accepting that is a education guide of which to stay via with out foundation of reality. again, not the authentic psychological mind-set to the international that those non secular people declare to have. (i.e. data as against believing something purely to have self assurance it...?) again, on the proper of the day, in spite of your faith or perception is, it really is in spite of makes existence a touch a lot less stressful it truly is better.

mostly robotics. people are already making some human-like ones, but are afraid that the resemblance will frighten some people. also, a new space program after 2010, using smaller, more efficient spacecraft, and medicine just happens randomly. that's bout all off the top of my head. uh, good luck

In a fast-paced world where scientific breakthroughs, many totally unexpected, occur regularly, it’s dangerous (and possibly even foolish) to try to predict the future. However, based on extrapolating work going on today in BBRP (biosciences) laboratories, we can reasonably foresee several exciting developments over the next 10 to 20 years:

It took us 15 years and $3 billion to sequence the human genome, with more than 90% of the actual data generated in the last three years. Sequencing costs are likely to continue to plummet to less than $1 million per mammalian genome and $1,000 per microbial genome. Comprehensive sequence data will become the expected starting point for essentially all biology research. In addition, it’s likely that within a decade or two the parents of every baby will be given a list of the baby’s significant genetic characteristics.

Our research in radiation effects and molecular chemistry has the potential to increase significantly the effectiveness of radiation treatment for cancers by a factor of 10 or more. This advancement can be accomplished by targeting the radiotherapy specifically to cancerous cells while simultaneously protecting healthy cells.

Our computer modeling expertise, coupled to data obtained from experimental cell measurements, will make possible the development of 3-D movies of biological processes with full quantum mechanical resolution. We can imagine watching simulations of molecular protein machines as they carry out DNA repair and studying simulations of cells’ response to exposure to toxic chemicals, bacteria, and viruses.

We can envision the diagnosis of infectious diseases becoming a routine part of a physical exam. Within 10 years you may walk into your doctor’s office and supply a saliva sample, and within a few minutes your doctor will have a readout of any infectious diseases to which you’ve been exposed, including possible bioterror agents.

Finally, we could be using industrial production processes for chemicals, catalysts, and other materials based on biological processes that are thousands of times more efficient, specific, and rapid than many of our current chemical synthesis processes. For example, modeling the biochemistry of bacteria living in deep ocean vents could lead to efficient manufacture of hydrogen.

In the twentieth century the physical sciences transformed our life and society in innumerable ways. The twenty-first century will be marked by equally transforming advances in bioscience. We are just beginning to understand and utilize the tremendous diversity and creativity of living systems and apply them to our own benefit, such as improving health, maintaining the environment, producing energy, and ensuring our security. The next 40 years of bioscience promises to be even more exciting.

Nanotechnology, a lot of "magic bullet" medicines for various cancers.

I foresee problems with space junk hitting satellites.

Hopefully NASA will really get on the ball with the next generation of space vehicles, powered with ground-based microwave beam technology.
