My husband is going for his second time to Iraq in a couple of months. I still believe we are doing the correct thing. We just can't leave these people like it is. My husband believes we should just bomb the whole middle east and get it over with. He hates Bush right now. What do you think?? Also, for those who are in the military and dont agree with the war...I think you should shut up and do what your suppose to be doing. We werent in Iraq when 9/11 happened, and nothing has happened since we got into Iraq. If you joined the military just for the benefits than your stupid. Hello, military. What did you think you were going to do?? Play pocker all day or park cars? I have every right to say this, most of my familiy has been in the military going back 100 years including me. God bless America!

Honestly, I don't know what I believe about whats going on in Iraq. What I DO KNOW is that I, whole heartidly, support our troops and the job they are there to do.

Should we evacuate?? No........if only a small percentage of the Iraqi people want us there........then we should be there...for them.

GOD BLESS AMERICA and our troops

Very few people left in America or anywhere else in the world for that matter still support the O(peration) I(raq) L(iberation).

Even your own husband thinks it is a bad idea. If you have not served, you should not be trying to speak for the military. Just because someone close to you did, you still don't really understand the kind of sacrifices you make when you are in the service.

At this point it hard to say which is the lesser of two evils, try to fix it or pull out.

The problem is no one really knows, not even your congressman (hard to believe). But most Iraqis do not seem interested in democracy, but rather revenge. The whole thing is extremely unstable in a region that is also unstable. If it does blow up, it will probably be impossible for the US to sit on the sidelines, but rather require MAJOR force deployments.

Right now the Iraqis have just the kind of society they want. If they didn’t, they’d change it.

Keep your head down over there. (24yrs USAF)

I have never agreed with the war, that being said, I am one of the staunches supporters of the troops placed in harms way. Why this duality? Because I have too many friends over there with a low enough moral (as you husband appears to have based on your info) that they don't need those of us at home bickering about If we should be there or not, the sad fact is we are there and now we need to clean up this mess that we have made of it.

As for your "nothing has happened sci enc we went to Iraq" you are wrong, there have be attempts at terror, um London Liquid bombers ring any bells?

As for your condescending remarks about our men and women over there, that is the EXACT example of moral destroyers that the American public should avoid, these people are VOLUNTARILY putting themselves in harms way for what they believe in. Of my friends that are in the military ( all branches) I am unaware of any of them joining up just for benefits.

Oh and why am I not over in Iraq if I fell this strongly you might ask, I tried to join the Navy, but due to a medical condition I failed 4F (ask your husband) so I am stuck here unable to serve my country

Honestly no. We won't be doing the right thing until we kick out the reporters and untie the hands of our troops so they can get to work.
