Okay, so this guy and his girlfriend broke up today. My best friend said, "Can I ask him out for you?" I told her sure, but it's really soon. The guy comes over to me and talks to me personally after class. He said he might go out with me later, but that today was a bad day. Is he serious or just trying to let me down softly?

It's too late to un-ask him out. Please no more of that kind of advice! P.S. He never said no...he said he might. If he doesn't want to, wouldn't he have just said no straight up?

Give him your number and tell him to call you sometime. Then forget about him until he calls. You will have done your job. Put the ball in his court and let him figure it out.

You didn't waste any time, did you? I guess you'll have to wait and see, but if you're still in middle school or high school, he'll probably go out with you for a few weeks, but dump you before Valentine's Day.

Assuming your in highschool or college you dont wanna be the first girl he sees after his breakup, that makes you the rebound, let him hook up with some other girls and release his frustrations before going after him.

he's just going through a rough timee. seriouslyy. if he didn't actually like you he'd say "You're a great friend and i don't wanna ruin our friendship." Don't worry he'll get normal again. try in like 2 weeks!! goooddd luckkkk
