Speaking of "duh", most of the rest of the animals have a reproductive cycle that depends on estrus (at least mammals do), and males who attempt to have sex with females who are not in estrus tend to get their butts kicked. "Underage sex" isn't likely because females don't go into estrus until they are sexually mature.

It is only immoral in the eyes of society. There is nothing wrong with underaged sex so long as you are careful and know what you are doing. There are many STDs out there and underage pregnancy is a tough reality. But not too long agao in history women had families when they were 15 or 16, but times were much different then. I think it is all how you look at it. I don't believe anyone should keep from doing something because it is looked down upon by society. Do what makes you happy so long as you are careful.

Well, if you're speaking strictly of morality, there's not a fixed age. A 19 year old, immature, sheltered virgin could be harmed by being rushed into sex, while there might be people as young as 15 or so who might be able to handle is psychologically.

I'd love to know what a psychologist thinks about the fact that, historically, people became sexually active (and married, even) much earlier than we do now.
