She has an overbite. One of her bottom teeth broke off one of her top teeth. She needed 2 bottom teeth pulled, and needed the root from the top tooth cut out.

She isn't suppose to chew on toys, or other dogs, either.

The vet said to make sure she has alot of walks to wear her out so she is too tired to chew while in the house. I don't think this will totally work.

Ask your vet to prescribe a diet you can syringe feed, like Hills a/d or Eukanuba max cal.

EDIT: You can also use an e-collar if needed, or in drastic cases, wire cage muzzle (like the ones racing grey hounds wear)

Well, generally, their mouth is going to be sore, so they won't chew, anyway. But as a precaution, they have the Elizabethan collars for dogs. I would definitely do that. Also, may want to think about feeding soft foods during healing time.

Just out of curiosity, why would a 3 month old puppy have mouth surgery?

If he had mouth surgery I would think your vet would have given you some kind of suggestions and advise to take. I would contact him again and ask him for further advise.

I would usually never recommend this, but have you thought about a muzzle. Seems to me that it would keep the pup from chewing. Good Luck-I hope your pup is OK

I wish I could give you some really good advice, but I just don't know this one. Your vet can't help?
