I am a Certified Hypnotherapist and I have just helped 25 people who suffer from MAJOR TEST anxiety, pass the NASD Series 7 examination - a 6 hour test for the securities industry. Applying relaxation techniques and breaking the material down into "cognitive bits" would be the key in most cases. Sometimes we look at the big picture and it appears to be so overwhelming that we can't possibly fathom doing it and the process of trying becomes arduous...

If you would like some relaxation methods or some direction, let me know....in the meantime, break your study into tiny little pieces - perhaps a chapter at a time or even a few paragraphs at a time....it may seem slow at first but you will be less anxious...and eventually you will be able to take more and more of these pieces quicker....studying, testing and just about everything else is done one step at a time....relax and pace yourself

I know how you feel. It is absolute misery. Mine is just as severe. What I have done for convenience is gone to my Dr. and placed on anti anxiety meds short term. I have went to a certified hypnotherapists and that helped long term. Without meds. They can teach you ways to relax and help you to train yourself to do on your own. Good luck to you.
