Would you try to find out more about it or would you just stop being friends with that person?

I'd probably annoy them to tears with questions about being Wiccan, but it wouldn't affect the relationship negatively at all.

Any rational person would try to learn as much as they can about others beliefs whether it be Wiccan, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism or whatever. It would make them a more rounded, better informed person.
Now, I AM a witch! And I would like to tell the "good Christians" out there that your friend who is a witch has heard it time and again about Jesus and they probably don't want to hear any more! Chances are pretty good they started out being Christian. I would have to say that if you are going to condemn someone because they don't believe as you do, well, it makes you a pretty poor choice for a friend in the first place. To turn the question around "What would you do if you found out a friend was Christian?" Guess what, it does not matter to me what you believe as long as you don't try to push it off on me. And I can guarantee that no witch or Wiccan will EVER try to convert you! By the way, I have lost people whom I thought were friends, obviously I was wrong. I hope that does not happen to you because friends are a precious commodity.

First of all read up on everything about wiccan beliefs. No witches dont put curses on people or fly on broom sticks. Secondly a persons spiritual beliefs should not effect their relationship with you?? Should it?

Also having a friend also means respecting your friend and accepting their beliefs (if they are not hurting anybody) and wiccan beliefs dont hurt anybody.

Please go and understand your friends chosen religion and then decide if her beliefs are so awful you need to end your friendship - that would be a shame friends - good friends are hard to find. Here are some web sites.

I can't think of a reason to stop being friends with someone who is a Wiccan. Maybe you should find out more about Wicca and then determine why you asked this question.

Neither - I wouldn't be interested in learning more about the religion, nor would I stop being friends with the person. I honestly could care less about their religious beliefs, as long as those beliefs don't involve attacking me with a chainsaw when I turn my back.

I would try and learn enough so you understand what she is about. I don't think you have to learn everything. I don't believe in dumping a friend because of what she believes. You didn't judge her before you knew what religion she practiced right? Why should now be any different? You may not agree with her lifestyle, or the way she has chosen to follow her spirituality, but that doesn't make her a bad person. Just be honest about your feelings, and try to learn from her.

It would not affect our friendship at all.

Of course not - I'm a Witch too.

BTW, "Jo" - nice unbiased source there, that "Christian Apologetics" place. I suppose you'd be fine with the rest of the world using a Hindu source (for example) on what Christianity is, eh?

this question is not hypothetical im taking it? If youre really their friend you would be thier friend no matter what they believe, however trying to convert them to christianity(which i assume you are) is not an option, your wiccan friend would hate you and feel you are violating his/her rights to believe what they feel is right. If i found out my friend was a christian i might not be as open minded, Wiccans are OK, but theyre a bit dingy when it comes to certain things. Like some of thier rituals, rules, and practices are not for everyone.

Not really wouldn't matter much. I have friends who are everything from Atheist to Catholic to Wiccan. We may not agree on everything, but to end a friendship on something so superficial seems quite ridiculous to me.
