I just painted my daughter's bedroom furniture, how long should I wait to apply the second coat of paint?

You should look on the label, it will have recoat time, all paints aren't created equal so it will vary on the product, usually 2 to 4 hrs for water based and 24 for oil based

The first answerer is correct, but also the temperature and humidity can make a big difference. If you live in a damp area, expect to wait longer that it says on the label.

one hour up to four hours if you are in a hurry.If you can wait, give it a full 24 hours. It usually says on the paint can.
