Sounds like low blood sugar. Are you eating regularly? Are you drinking enough water? What has changed in your health in the past week or so? Have you had a heavy period (assuming you're a girl)?

Generally health professionals don't seem to worry too much about general feelings of low blood sugar, but speaking as a person who has low blood pressure (another thing doctors don't worry about) and frequent low blood sugar, I can agree with you that it can get pretty uncomfortable and scary!

My symptoms are: shaky hands, sweaty, dizzy, headache, really grumpy/short-tempered, nauseous and feeling like I'm going to faint. As soon as I eat something, I feel fine. I don't get low blood sugar all the time - it seems to be worse at different times of the month (but I haven't figured out the pattern yet).

I've learned just to make sure I don't go too long between eating, or have a candy or something in my purse for just in case.

If you feel really bad, then I'd suggest seeing your doctor and they may want to do a blood test. As far as your mom goes, I'd print off your post here and the answers you get and show it to her, and maybe she'll start to take it seriously.

Good luck!

i see it was already mentioned, but i thought of hypoglycemia.
but why did you cry wolf so many times? That's why your mom doesn't want to make a big deal out of it. That will teach you to handle situations as they are. Don't exaggerate things in the future if you want to be taken seriously.

My friend called me late last night crying that her son had ruptured his spleen on his bicycle yesterday. i believed her and prayed for her son, but after i thought about it i bet they just said "we are going to check his spleen." she makes more out of things than they really are so this time i figured she was doing it again and pretty much she was. She called this morning and said he broke his wrist and they are keeping an eye on his spleen.
You don't want people to think this about you..... not believing you when you really need them because of your over dramatic ways in the past. Good luck and i hope you start feeling better.

if it has something to do with your blood sugar it could be diabetes. I know that will make you dizzy and give you headaches. You should get it checked out. Tell your mom its better to be safe than sorry!

It sounds like hypoglycemia. You need to set an eating schedule and stick to it . . . or eat small meals more often. You should also be tested for diabetes.
