In God I trust, and the fruit of the vine. That's what makes me feel happy, makes me feel fine.

If they do, they will in fact have to discover the TRUTH. This of course means, no.

I think "expert scientists " are gifted and talented individuals. Regardless of faith, I am sure they shall discover many things.
Whether or not they understand them completely...your guess is as good as mine.

Take abortion...

For instance, my faith says that a child is a living soul and thus while in the womb is a human.

Scientists have yet to really prove this "theory". I know science will one day come around to the same conclusion. And when they do, they will claim they knew it all along. And abortion for the most part will be illegal. (There would have to be exceptions if the women's life were in danger by having the child of course.)

So you see. It takes science too damu long to figure our world out. Men trying to understand a world God made on their own without any help from him. When clearly God offers a guide to the way things are. This does not mean there are straight forward answers. This means there are answers out there and he has given us tools to help find them.

But, men would rather start from scratch. Reinvent the wheel if you will.

This of course is just an opinion. So, once again, I believe they will discover many great things. Will it be the "truth"? Maybe.

Scientists are Great !! They can find all types of answers scientifically. I love the study of Science. Geology is Great. I have in my collection , many wonderful specimens of the 3.5 million year old Crystal Honeycomb Coral. Many chunks I have picked up in the deepest valley's of our state. I Love the study of the stars. Paleontology is also a great Interest to me. So I do trust these experts. But they all can go only so far. I am a Christian and I firmly believe the experts in many of the fields have shown and done much to help us solve many Mystery's of God. The main Mystery has yet to be solved and that is the Mystery of God. This Earth and the Creatures therein, were created by God. I hope the Scientists can tell us that Mystery also. Many deny God. But in this field they are Wrong.

Hmmmmmmmm........ would I trust an expert??

Who else would you suggest the answers come from??? Is anyone else offering any plausible explanations that would stand up to scrutiny?? I'm a big believer in "SHOW ME".
But I'm not closed-minded to other possibilities. I'll go with whatever makes the most sense to me.....until something makes more sense. You can believe what you choose to, I don't mind.

Oh...JeffC....remember your Geometry?? A circle is a 2 dimensional figure....therefore FLAT. Sphere, orb, globe, ball would suggest a 3 dimensional figure, but that's not how it was written.

Most expert scientists are atheists. How could they trust people that they believe are led by Satan, or destined for Hell? How can they respect the findings of people to whom they feel superior? Religion isn't about the truth, it's about myth, and you either believe it or burn. That "blind faith" is detrimental to society. Science poses a threat to them, because those involved in it do not believe, for the most part, and the more science discovers, the less there can be to attribute to "the god of the gaps."

That's why they're still debating whether or not "evolution is true" and resisting cloning and stem cell research. If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny.

Of course. Do you trust and expert plumber to fix you pipes?

Or would you rather leave it in the hands of biased theologians who have something to lose if they find something they don't like. Oh wait. That has already happened so many times I can't count them all. Like the Catholic church suppressing that whole Earth is round and it goes around the Sun business. Had the facts and squashed them and offered to kill the "expert scientists' of the day if they continued to say things that disagreed with doctrine.

Many people doubt the Bible for various reasons. One of them is that the Bible is not accurate scientifically. But this just isn't so. The Bible is not a book about science, but when it does speak scientifically, it is accurate. In fact, it was far ahead of any other writing of its time. Please consider the following.

The Shape of the Earth
"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in," (Isaiah 40:22,NIV).
This may or may not be construed to support the spherical shape of the earth. The horizon is a circle and a circle is flat.

There are too many Christian expert scientists in the world for your question to have any validity whatsoever.

well, i'm a Christian, but i really don't care what the scientists say. most scientists are honest, ethical, intelligent, and rational. some, however, would give their lives to prove evolution exists. my biggist arguement is this: the Bible was written thousands of years ago, God's Word to us all. evolution is based on what some guy named charles found a difference between beak sizes on an island.......come on. they're both religions, because you have to have faith to believe which ever one you chose. some.......fanatics, would murder atheists, but whatever, ya know, they're entitled to their beliefs, it would just be better if they chose to follow God. micro-evolution(logical, 'bird dies cause it can't open nut') exists and all that, but macro-evolution(i came from a fish) doesn't. well, good luck with whatever your going through or questioning. God bless you, and, everyone forgets this, but bless and praise Him in return! so ungrateful.:~}
btw, i love science, mostly technology and physics, mechanical engineering etc....

The truth about our world as per scientists changes the more they learn about it. I would believe in what they know so far, but I'd have to be a scientist myself to confirm their findings.

The more science advances, the more the Bible is proven true. Everything hasn't been proven yet, but has not been disproven either. God is the Great Scientist.

Only to a limited extent. They are mere men trying their best to figure things out but many theories are just their best guess until something looks better. Of course all things cannot be repeated in a lab environment but it doesn't mean they are not fact.
