I bought a Chi and it has been a lifesaver. Okay maybe I am being a bit dramatic. (smile) I have wavy hair and it has been the best straightener ever! I have used hot tools and a cheap one from target. I have to say it is worth every penny. It has lasted for over a year now. It gets your hair silky straight for up to 2 days. I wouldn't buy any other than Chi.

Good luck and make sure you use a heat conditioning spray that Chi makes as well.

:)

NO, it doesn't matter what the brand is. As long as the plates are solid ceramic, there's a temperature dial to adjust the heat and a warranty, it's fine.

I actually hate CHI because they don't last. I prefer Cricket, Babyliss and Superstar over the CHI.

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".

as long as the plates are solid ceramic, and not just ceramic coated it should be good quality. Babyliss plate edges are not covered and u will burn your self like crazy. I use a Matrix flat iron with a tempurature control, works good. Talk to your stylist about what they have for sale in the salon

The absolute best is the Sedu, i have one and i love it !!!

it's so gentle on the hair and doesn't give it that "fake" straight look and your hair still looks not dried out.
