if you wish to serve one thing for the entire meal, i recommend champagne. it is a beverage that can be served with everything and it has a nice wow factor for a romantic evening. champagne enhances the flavour of strawberries. if you are doing stuffed maushrooms for an appetitizer, why not do a wonderful steak or prime rib dinner with a wonderful red wine. i love a great red cabernet sauvignon from australia or a zinfindal or syrah from cline (any of the cline reds are great from california). i love making prime rib and serving it with roasted or baked potato and fresh veggies that are blanched and then stir fried in butter and fresh herbs. not only is it easy to make and gives you time to get ready and relax. everyone loves it.

A good Riesling is great with the strawberrys. Maybe a Pinot Noir with the mushrooms.

Sorry. Main entree: I'm drawing a blank but make it something simple. I think some other good folks here have steered you in the right direction on this one.

A white wine like a chardonnay...something crisp, but not too sweet. Stay away from the pink stuff.. rose, etc. As for an entree, try salmon. Easy to make, hard to fcuk up. Put it in the oven, broil it for a few minutes, perfect. Make a vegetable to put on the side, steam some asparagus, maybe go to the store and get one of those packets to make a hollandaise sauce. You're done! Hope you get laid!

White wine w/the strawberries, or a good champagne if you want to splurge. Try Yellowtail Chardonnay or Freixenet Brut. For a main entree, bacon wrapped filet mignon is good as is chicken parmesan.

A sweeter white wine, such as a Resling (Germany) would go great with your menu. Fetzer and Columbia both make great, affordable Rieslings....try to find a "special harvest" Riesling for an extra smoothe taste.

I would suggest a Fume Blanc. Main entree - shrimp.

definitely merlot. its a nice rich red wine and it is very sensual with cholocate!! come to think of it, a merlot would work out well with the stuffed mushrooms, too.
