Will a 4 farad power acustik capacitor be good for a 3000 watt mono boss amplifier?

A one farad cap would be plenty for that amp. Boss is over-rating their amps. To find out a more accurate reading of the wattage being produced by that amp, go through the following formula. Add your fuse rating together, multiply that by 12 (voltage), and then divide by 2 (50% amp efficiency) and the remaining number is a good accurate number of the watts actually being produced. I bet it is no more than 700 watts.

hes correct. boss super overrates their amps. youd be lucky to get 700 real RMS (of totally worthless sound quality at that) out of that amp.
1 farad would be overkill.
