I doubt you will be able to get the Beyonce or J-lo booty, if you don't already have one. But, you could try some butt tightening exercises. This will make it firm, which will make it sit up more. Just think of perky, small breast versus saggy, small breast. The size may not change, but the appearance is everything.

Nothing you can do about it. This is the way you are shaped, and I'm going to say you have a very athletic, straight up and down shape as well. Stay on the slim side (not stick thin though) because when you get older you are going to aquire an apple shape. Most people who have an apple shape, or large mid-section when they're older had a very straight shape when they were younger. Apple shapes are most at risk for heart disease, if you're overweight enough.
Even the best toning exercise will not make your butt bigger...this is just how you were made. My mom is the same way. If you have a small butt to begin with, where it has a little curve to it, then the exercises might help (deep knee bends), otherwise you'll just be wasting your time. And don't eat food for it, this will go to your waist.

Doing exercises where they work out the "gloots"(sp?) (but) area can help, running, walking all sorts of stuff.
Or wearing certain jeans can cause the illusion of a bigger rounder but. Ever watch What Not to Wear? They explain on how to dress a person with no butt - so to speak.

Unless you were born with the natural shape you won't be able to get like a JLo butt. But if you eat then possibly (no kidding.. you could do crunches so you're stomach will slim down and hopefully the rest of yuo won't).

Smaller jean pockets make your butt appear bigger, while bigger ones flatten it OUT! Jeans with no pockets make you look like you have a J-Lo booty, but in my opinion, those kind of jeans look ghetto...like others have said, do "glute"-tightening exercises (just search for it on Yahoo or Google) and it should shape up a bit.

you said it ...your very slim .. you have to gain weight to have bigger butt .. thin with big butt that doesn't feel well .. I think you should do more exercise .. & have some real good deit ..& you'll get what you want >> hot body ^.^

Squats and lunges give definition to glutes (butt muscles). Since you are slim, building muscle is how you will get your curves.
