OK...for a different meal......

Boil some water for the pasta and cook it.

Apple sauce mixed with blue cheese dressing will make a different and tasty sauce for the pasta.

For the chicken

Mix a couple of spoons of brown sugar with a teaspoon of lemon juice, then rub it all over the chicken. Sprinkle garlic powder and some savory on that. .

Add a small amount of oil to a pan and cook the chicken on medium high.

If you like cheese, you might sprinkle some grated cheddar over it just before removing it from the pan.

Meanwhile cook the spinach in a glass container in a microwave
You can add a few drops of lemon juice to it, before cooking. When ready for serving grate the parmesan over it.

For an additional vegetable, steam the peas or cook them in the microwave so that they are almost ready when the chicken comes from the pan. Drain.

Place the peas in the pan with the chicken juices/spices and add a spoon of two of water to get a juice. Serve them with a spoon to get the juices, and place them around the pasta.

cook some chicken on the stovetop using some spices (to your taste) and possibly lemon juice. And the jack cheese would go well with some spices. or if you are craving oriental, the soya sauce (i think you get the point)

then on the side, you can cook up the peas.

what's the problem, that's plenty to work off off
try lasagna - dry pasta, cheese, spinach (any sauce?)
or chicken sprinkled with lemon juice and onion soup.
